#1 tool to manage stress & anxiety
Your breath is your life force energy. Are you using the force?
You can go for weeks without food, days without water, but only a few minutes without breathing. Breathing has such an immediate impact on your mind and body that even the act of inhaling vs. exhaling affects your nervous system differently. It’s common to train in diet, exercise and even hydration, but almost no one trains their breath. This is a huge missed opportunity for health-seekers.
Breathwork offers opportunities for healing- from a place of balance you can grow, soar & uplevel your life
Breath is prana- life force.
Prana is grossly expressed by breathing & respiratory functions.
Try a free guided breathwork session here which is designed to help you release tension from your body.
If you take away the life force- we no longer exist as we understand in this form.
Take away breath = death
How are you using this life force?
Most of the time unconsciously - autonomically ( involuntary or spontaneously). You are using it to stay alive- to survive.
When did we accept that life was just for surviving?
It's our birthright to live an abduntaly healthy life!
The breath is our most powerful tool to affect our state of being & create optimal health conditions for the mind & body.
Most of us have forgotten the power of the breath and spend a lifetime unconsciously breathing. This equates to over and incomplete chest breathing, creating tight shoulders & back muscles, a rapid heartbeat & elevated blood pressure. It creates stress & tension in the body & the mind.
This style of breathing signals the mind we feel unsafe/overwhelmed. It places us in a nervous system dominance of fight or flight. It creates poor health.
SURVIVAL STATE
When you learn to breath using the full space of the lungs which activates use of the diaphragm muscle- the dome shaped muscle that sits under the lungs, you begin your journey to optimal breathing and living.
Breathwork practices teach you breath awareness & methods to use your breath for more than just living. A conscious connection to breathing allows you to balance your nervous system, unblock energy centres, release trapped energy/emotion & heal your body.
Using the force to work with you!
THRIVE STATE
Amazing Facts About Breathing
Certain styles of breathwork can also help with severe respiratory conditions like asthma that can be successfully managed by increasing CO2 levels in the blood.
Breathing can help reduce the fear of public speaking, improve digestion, reduce insomnia, lower stress, anxiety, and overwhelm.
Sound good?
It all starts with awareness. Dedicate a particular time of day to give your breath your full attention. Lying in bed just before sleep or just as you wake up are ideal times as there is less distraction.
How to practice breathwork with awareness
- Notice the journey of your breath, the temperature, the speed, the sound. Is it flowing freely & fully around your lungs or are you breathing up in your chest?
- Breathing through your nose, invite your breath to slow down and explore the space around the lower lobes of your lungs so that the belly inflates with your inhale & lowers with control on your exhale. Take 10 breaths like this.
- Notice what thought's arise as you practice. Notice how you feel when you stop and sit for a moment in silence.
The more you practice, the more results you will feel. When stress begins to overtake your day, come back to your breath.
Breath more fully so that you shift from a state of survival.
